Fireboy and Watergirl 3: Ice Temple offers a cold world in a temple full of ice and snow. The developer, Oslo Albert, released this third game of the Fireboy and Watergirl series on April 5, 2012. Following its two predecessors, this game offers challenges with 37 levels. In it, you must pass 20 Normal levels to advance to six Simultaneous Designed levels and 11 White Diamond levels.
- You'll have to overcome a series of tricky barriers, such as levers, boxes, lava, water, light detectors, and mirrors of Normal levels. Your goal is to guide the characters smoothly to their own elevator doors.
- Simultaneous Designed levels have companion gameplay-based challenges. Two characters will move on two sides of a completely symmetrical map.
- White Diamond levels only have one diamond to collect in each round.
The Brand New Features of Ice Temple
Fireboy and Watergirl 3: Ice Temple is the successor to and development of this famous platform game series. Besides the familiar designs in Forest Temple and Light Temple, players can easily notice new features. Firstly, the walls in the cellars remained completely frozen. You can see ice blocks appearing everywhere. Don't worry; they won’t affect the round’s performance much.
Additionally, the new object that Ice Temple introduces is a freeze/melt light. Fireboy (and Watergirl, of course) can move through snow and ice terrain. However, when moving through this surface, the female character’s speed will be slower. Therefore, you need to rotate this machine properly to make it convenient for the movement of both adventurers.
Gameplay and Controls
The players’ mission in Fireboy and Watergirl 3: Ice Temple is to guide the two main characters to decipher complex terrain and open the elevator door. To activate the appropriate functions, the character must stand on the switch, push the handle, and rotate the machines. Remember that Fireboy can only touch the lava, move across the frozen surface, and collect red diamonds. Meanwhile, Watergirl can come into contact with water, frozen rivers, snowy slopes, and collect blue diamonds.
To maneuver Fireboy, you need to use the arrow keys. Meanwhile, you will navigate Watergirl using the WASD keys. Even if you participate alone, you can still completely master these rounds. Because it is a co-op game, coordinating the activities of the two characters is extremely important. Try and test your ultimate tactical ability right away!
